Jason Rhinevault

Based in Seattle, Washington, Jason Rhinevault is the proud owner of Vault Metalwerks. He is a self-taught metal fabricator and finisher with a passion for creating stunning metal sculptures.

With a focus on contemporary metal wall sculpture, Rhinevault has found a unique niche in the art world. He specializes in utilizing negative spaces, depth, and unique patina work to create stunning designs that are endlessly fascinating.

Rhinevault's Shape Study Series showcases his love for textures, colors, and designs. Each piece is unique in texture, and the possibilities for new designs are endless. While Rhinevault has a fondness for most metals, his true passion lies in cold-rolled steel. He loves the challenge of taking something so common and transforming it into something truly unique.

Rhinevault's compositions are offset from the back mounting plate, by as much as an inch, creating a visual illusion. His use of negative space and depth gives the viewer several aspects to consider, making his pieces truly mesmerizing. He is drawn to metal as a medium for its strength and organic qualities. Rhinevault considers the patina application as important as the welding process, which adds a unique touch to his creations.

He also specializes in custom commissions in a wide variety of sculpture and wall hangings: mirror polished steel, mid-century modern, free-standing, public space, and commercial art pieces.

If you're looking for contemporary metal wall sculptures that are both visually stunning and thought-provoking, Jason Rhinevault's pieces are a must-see. Explore his portfolio to discover his unique designs and beautiful patina work.
